Electrical Design Engineer - CAD

Education

Minimum 2 to 5 years of vehicle design experience - preferred.

• Solid Works or equivalent 3D CAD modeling software
• Zuken Wire Harness Design is a plus

• Computer and organizational skills
• Have good interpersonal and communications skills
• Goal orientated and motivation to achieve tasks within set timelines
• Starter with high level of initiative and ability to work independently
• Ability to work and contribute to a team orientated environment

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing along with sitting for extended period of time.

Must be able to lift and/or move items over 25 pounds.

• Complete Engineering design tasks and projects assignments which support production activities
• Coordinates own tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met considering vendor and production lead times. Includes maintaining task status and recording time speed on each task
• Creates Engineering designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, other contracts documents and ensure designs are within manufacturing abilities
• Works with engineers to develop drawing packages and layouts to ensure compliance with design criteria
• Assist engineers with completion of and or initiates-controlled testing of components and installations to meet contractual obligations, ensure product reliability and verify component fit
• Completes Technical Engineering drawings and release documents in accordance with Engineering procedures and ECNs
  - Engineering Change Notices
• Provide Engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments as needed
• Interacts with vendors and customers on design related issues. Ensures that, where applicable, there are documents of vendor approval on new installations or applications
• Check Engineering documents as authorized by Engineering Manager
• Any other duties as necessary
