# AVP, Actuary – Valuation
AVP, Actuary – Valuation Salary $170000 - $220000
Location Indianapolis, IN, USA Contract Permanent Industry Life Insurance---Contact Molly Nylund Molly.
Nylund Responsibilities:
* Lead quarterly valuation and annual assumption reviews
* Support financial reporting, planning, and regulatory filings
* Conduct experience studies for life/annuity products and policyholder behavior
* Review MG-ALFA cash-flow projections and statutory reserve changes
* Assist in actuarial controls, governance, and risk documentation
* Manage monthly reinsurance settlements
* Engage with external auditors and actuaries
* Contribute to additional projects as required
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
* FSA (or equivalent) with ~7+ years post-fellowship experience
* Strong background in annuity reinsurance/asset modeling preferred
* Proficiency with MG-ALFA; programming/automation a plus
* Knowledge of US GAAP/Stat, tax, solvency frameworks
* Strong communication and multitasking skills
