Finance Administrator

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Administrator for our government client to support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in managing financial operations, budgeting, and reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial processes and compliance across the organization.

Base Pay Range

$25.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Finance team and provide guidance as needed.
  • Process payroll and monitor personnel spending.
  • Approve requisitions for organizational and IT-related purchases.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership review.
  • Assist in planning and implementing annual budget and audit processes.
  • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare budget plans and reports.
  • Monitor expenditures against budget, evaluate variances, and recommend adjustments.
  • Collaborate with executives and project managers to resolve budget issues.
  • Generate monthly financial reports, including diversity spend reports.
  • Support development and implementation of financial systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Act as proxy for the CFO when delegated, including attending meetings and approving financial matters.
  • Facilitate vendor payment processes and maintain vendor communication.
  • Produce comparative and trend analysis reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and procedures.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting and budgetary procedures.
