Operations Specialist

Our client, a de novo and Minority Deposit Institution, is seeking an Operations Specialist to join their team. As an Operations Specialist, you will be part of the Deposit & Loan Operations department supporting daily deposit processing, account management, and system enhancements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Operations Specialist

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Pay Range: Up to $60,000 annually

• Process and reconcile daily deposit transactions, including ACH, wires, check processing, and account adjustments.
• Perform account maintenance tasks such as stop payments, holds, and account closures.
• Monitor and resolve deposit exceptions, overdrafts, and fraud alerts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support branch and customer service teams with deposit-related inquiries and issue resolution.
• Assist with system testing, upgrades, and the implementation of new deposit products or services.

• Experience working with Fiserv banking core systems (e.g., DNA, Premier, Signature) is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in deposit operations or similar banking roles.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations and deposit compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems effectively.
