Chief Financial Officer

Hybrid position - Local to Indianapolis area preferred

$300-350k plus 30-50% bonus and future equity

Bell & Associates is partnering with a growing privately-held healthcare organization seeking a CFO to join their Executive Leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, and revenue cycle.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support the organization’s operational and long-term objectives.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning processes.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership and ownership.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
  • Oversee revenue cycle performance, including billing, collections, reimbursement, and accounts receivable.
  • Lead and develop the accounting and finance team, including hiring and building out key positions as needed.
  • Partner with operational leadership to improve financial performance, cost management, and business processes.
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support capital investments, strategic initiatives, and business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial policies.
  • Serve as a key financial partner to ownership and the executive leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Significant accounting and finance leadership experience, preferably in a multi-location healthcare environment.
  • Healthcare experience required, with demonstrated experience overseeing revenue cycle operations.
  • Medicare, Medicaid, Hospice, or Nursing Home exp preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and build high-performing teams.
  • Experience implementing and improving accounting processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with ownership, senior leadership, and operational teams.
  • Hands-on, results-oriented leader who can balance strategic financial leadership with day-to-day operational execution.
