* Position Overview:

*
* ** Pharmacy IV Technicians**, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, provide IV medication and other health care products to patients through sterile compounding processes and procedures.
*
* Key Responsibilities:

*** Work under the direction of Pharmacist and Lead Pharmacy IV Technician.
* Strictly follow SOPs and USP
797 to prepare IV medications.
* Make requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacists.
* Receive and maintain inventory of drugs and ensure their security.
* Enter medication orders into pharmacy operating system.
* Clean and maintain cleanroom per USP
797 and SOPs.
* Maintain records of compounding, daily temps, and cleaning logs.
* Verify that information on the prescription is complete and accurate.
* Print prescription labels and package prescriptions according to Long Term Care policy standards.
* Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
*
* Qualifications:

*** Must be an Indiana licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician.
* Working knowledge of USP
797 guidelines for training, compounding of medications, and cleaning and monitoring cleanroom.
* Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience a plus (but not required).
* Knowledge of Framework
