Neurodiagnostic Technologist II – Riley

Riley Children’s Health invites an experienced Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our full‑time team, working nights or weekends. The role focuses on neurophysiological testing and monitoring to enhance patient care across clinical, telemetry, and EMU settings.

Overview

As a key member of our neurodiagnostic team, you will leverage advanced knowledge of ICU, epilepsy, neonatal, and standard neurophysiological patterns. You will record, monitor, and report patient data with minimal supervision, ensuring high‑quality recordings and effective troubleshooting. Collaboration with less experienced staff and peer education are essential to sustaining departmental growth.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and provide neurophysiological testing and monitoring across clinical, telemetry, and EMU settings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ICU, epilepsy/seizure, neonatal, and typical neurophysiological patterns.
  • Record and monitor patient data with minimal supervision.
  • Report findings and triage patient care needs when necessary.
  • Maintain high‑quality recordings and troubleshoot techniques.
  • Collaborate with and precept peers to foster growth of less experienced team members.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2‑5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Graduate from a CAAHEP‑accredited Neurodiagnostic Program preferred.
  • Minimum R.EEG T. or EP credentialing based on department requirements.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Ability to meet all competencies required by held registries.
  • Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and concentration for extended periods under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to recognize neurological conditions and communicate findings to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
