**** Qualifications
* ** Must be an Indiana licensed Pharmacy Technician. National Technician Certification preferred
* Previous Long Term Care pharmacy experience a plus.
* Knowledge of Framework

** Responsibilities
* *** May participate in one or more of the following activities:
*** Prepare prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist by retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, and at times mixing medication.
* Make requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacists.
* Receive and maintain inventory of drugs and chemicals and ensure their security.
* Verify that information on the prescription is complete and accurate.
* Print prescription labels and package prescriptions according to Long Term Care policy standards.
* Prepack medications using unit dose sealers.
* Monitor/document prepack product expiration dates and lot numbers appropriately.
* Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
* Assist in automated compliance packaging dispensing process
* Assist in Narcotic Room activities to prepare Controlled Substance prescriptions according to Long Term Care Standards and Pharmacy Policy and Procedures.
* Assist in preparing non-sterile compounded products.
* Assist in preparing sterile compounded products after appropriate training.
* Enter medication orders into pharmacy operating system. Knowledge of Framework
