• Assist the provider in an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visits and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the practice population.
• Participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use, including required cleaning and stocking of supplies.
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of the provider’s caseload.
• Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection.
• Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Perform point‑of‑care testing based on the patient’s chief complaint and available protocols.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
• Medical Assistant certification required within six months of hire.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward problem solving.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting.
