Use your expert knowledge to improve the lives of patients and families at IU Health, Indiana's largest comprehensive health system with 16 hospitals and more than 34,000 team members. This full‑time night position is on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, 7 pm–7:30 am at Methodist Hospital.
ResponsibilitiesPrepares and provides neurophysiological testing and monitoring in the clinical, Neurotelemetry, and EMU settings according to departmental guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of typical neurophysiological patterns. Works with a moderate degree of supervision while recording and monitoring patient data. Reports findings and triages patient care needs when necessary. Maintains quality recordings and is skilled in troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED required. Associate's Degree preferred.
- 0‑2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Student or graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program preferred.
- Eligible pathway for R.EEG T. or EP credentialing, as recognized by ABRET, required at hire.
- Required to obtain R.EEG T. or EP credential within 24 months of hire.
- Requires current BLS certification.
- May require ability to meet all EEG competencies based on department requirements.
- Requires manual dexterity, visual acuity and the ability to concentrate for extended periods under stressful conditions to properly administer neurophysiological monitoring and testing.
