Job Description:
The Risk-Taking, Impulsivity, Substance Use, and Cognition (RISC) laboratory in the Department of Psychology at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The lab is led by Dr. Melissa Cyders.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology or other relevant disciplines, and an excellent publication track record. The specific projects focus on how impulsivity and its neurocognitive underpinnings influence risk for substance and alcohol use.
Consideration will be given to candidates with a strong background in human subjects research, alcohol administration work, grant and publication writing, and longitudinal design and analysis. Desired skills include familiarity with qualitative data coding and analysis and fMRI analysis, which can be developed during the postdoctoral position. Applicants should be scientifically driven, self-motivated, and committed to excellence in scholarship.
The initial appointment duration is up to three years, with renewal possible based on research productivity, performance, and funding.
