Position Summary:

Eventus Whole Health delivers an integrated model of care to adults in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities through a network of healthcare providers. We are seeking a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist to provide recovery-oriented support and case management services, with potential future opportunities for counseling services. Our focus is on improving the quality of life for residents facing a range of mental health challenges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services by consulting with licensed clinicians to meet individual needs.

Develop service plans and coordinate healthcare and behavioral health supports.

Implement linkage, interventions, treatment options, and crisis prevention services.

Deliver services to individual or group clients.

Train support staff on client triggers, de-escalation, and interventions as per treatment plans.

Maintain positive relationships with outside contacts and facility staff.

Communicate regularly with Resident Care Coordinators regarding resident needs.

Adhere to all organizational policies, legal, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA confidentiality.

Conduct yourself professionally at all times.

Consult with clinical supervisors when handling unfamiliar situations.

Qualifications/

Education:

Master’s degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy, with eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.

Knowledge:

Population-specific interventions and treatment plan adherence.
Regulations governing behavioral health practice.
Organizational policies and procedures.

Skills Required:

Data gathering and analysis skills.
Training skills in social/emotional well-being, stress, and anger management.
Ability to evaluate problems and offer appropriate interventions or referrals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High initiative, judgment, and discretion.
Effective relationship-building skills.

Abilities:

Remain calm and effective in emergencies.
Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
Evaluate and recommend quality improvements.
