Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Unit Secretary for our Med/Surg/TCU/ICU Department.
Position available: PRN, Nights, 12hr shifts
Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, this position performs the receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit; serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, other departments and physicians; and assists the staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- CNA, preferred
- Unit Secretary Experience, preferred
- Customer Skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- Clerical Skills with Heavy Phone Use
- Required use of Electronic Medical Record System (Cerner)
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation, on the job training available. Must pass arrhythmia examination within 3 months of hire date, or test out upon hire
