Sleep Technician – PRN

• Education and training typically found and obtained in PSG, EEG, and/or respiratory therapy programs preferred.
• Preferred
  - Two years of experience in performing inpatient/outpatient sleep studies and EEG studies.
• Certified and/or registered by the American Board of Electroencephalographic Technologies and/or Board of Polysomnographic Technologies and National Board for Respiratory Care. Registered Polysomnographic Technician
• Appropriately licensed/certified by the State of Indiana.
• Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per hospital policy. Must obtain BLS prior to direct patient care.

• Responsible for electrophysiological monitoring and diagnostic testing in sleep and EEG modalities in the inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings. Some these tests include but are not limited to general diagnostic sleep studies, split-night sleep studies, evoked potential studies, and video monitoring.
• Performs screening, patient hook-ups, equipment interfacing, troubleshooting, and scoring.
• Performs testing on 3 year old patients through geriatric age.
• Processes charges and necessary paperwork on a timely and accurate basis.
