Hotel Valet Attendant - Hourly + Tips
Join us at Crowne Plaza Union Station. This hourly position offers $9‑$10 per hour plus $5‑$10 per hour in tips.

Work Schedule: A./PM shift times. Part‑time availability.

SummaryThe Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. This includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely and assisting guests with luggage during arrival and departure.
Essential Functions (percentage of time)- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. (25%)
- Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper phone etiquette; posts in designated areas when not completing tasks. (10%)
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (20%)
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides information about outlet, meeting rooms, and local attractions; delivers messages, items or guest amenities; shuttles guests to approved locations. (10%)
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues claim checks upon receiving vehicle keys; completes and maintains all ticket information (key tag, folio, vehicle location, damage survey, claim check receipt). Calculates and collects revenue when needed. (35%)
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Licensure: Valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
- Experience: One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Skills:
- Ability to read and write standard English.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to present information to guests and employees in one‑on‑one or small group situations.
- Ability to perform basic math with money.
- Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
- Understand applicable rates.
- Manual transmission operation desirable.
- Perform parallel parking.
Work may be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Tasks include sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, running; lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, 20 pounds constantly.
