Transport Driver – Hospitality Operations role at Chip Ganassi Racing

Led by one of the most successful and innovative owners in motorsports, Chip Ganassi Racing has won 22 championships dating back to 1990. In addition, 2016 saw the team pick up their first-ever victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Overall, Ganassi has won six of the seven most iconic races in the world of auto racing with wins in the Indianapolis 500 (5 times), Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 At Daytona (8), and the 12 Hours of Sebring (2).

On the business side, CGR had one of the longest-running relationships in motorsports history with Target and currently can claim partnerships with PNC Bank, Parkland, DHL, and Honda, among many others. Today, Ganassi teams include three cars in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and two in INDY NXT by Firestone. Ganassi boasts a state-of-the-art racing facility in Indianapolis, and a corporate office in Pittsburgh.

This Transport Driver – Hospitality Operations role is a unique, dual-responsibility position that combines professional CDL driving with hands‑on hospitality operations. The individual will be responsible for transporting the team’s hospitality assets via semi‑trailer to and from race tracks and events, while also playing a key role in setting up, maintaining, and hosting within the hospitality environment during race weekends. This position requires someone who takes pride in both operating equipment safely and delivering a first‑class guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a semi‑truck and trailer transporting hospitality equipment to and from race tracks and events
  • Load, secure, unload, and inspect hospitality assets
  • Set up and tear down hospitality structures, kitchens, and equipment (physical labor required)
  • Maintain hospitality equipment, cleanliness, and service areas
  • Serve as a hospitality host during events, ensuring guests are well cared for
  • Monitor food and beverage service, manage trash, drinks, and supplies
  • Assist with catering coordination and temporary staff oversight
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to perform physical labor and work long event days
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Willingness to travel extensively and work weekends and holidays
