Become part of our SWARCO team as a Field Service Engineer in Scotland's Central Belt (Glasgow, East Kilbride and Cumbernauld), supporting the maintenance and operation of our electric vehicle charging units across Scotland.
What you will do- Provide technical assistance and support to customers, including EV charging station operators, maintenance personnel, and end‑users, to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operation of EV charging infrastructure.
- Support the Service & Contracts teams with any tasks required to ensure maximum efficiency across the wider business.
- Offer remote technical support via phone, email, or remote desktop tools, guiding customers through troubleshooting steps.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions in the ticketing system, and contribute to the knowledge base.
- At least 2 years’ experience in technical support or field service roles. Experience from any industry is welcomed – not restricted to the automotive, clean energy or EV charging industry.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network‑related issues effectively.
- Ability to support local (Scotland) and national teams with installation, maintenance and bespoke client solutions, working as part of a larger SWARCO team.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and building long‑term relationships with customers.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for on‑site support and willingness to work outside regular business hours as needed.
