Delivery Manager – IT Delivery Management Organization
As a Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in driving Elanco’s Agile transformation and product operating model. You’ll be part of the newly formed Delivery Management organization, empowering product teams by removing impediments, improving delivery flow, and fostering a culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement. This role is a cornerstone of Elanco’s evolution toward becoming a truly product‑led company.
YourResponsibilities
- Drive predictable delivery and flow by identifying, resolving, and escalating impediments across teams.
- Manage dependencies, coach teams in realistic forecasting, and promote transparent progress tracking.
- Partner with Product Managers to connect strategy with execution, improving deployment frequency and delivery predictability.
- Cultivate a high‑performing, psychologically safe team culture focused on learning and collaboration.
- Champion continuous improvement using data and retrospectives to identify and act on opportunities.
- Contribute to and help evolve the Delivery Management community of practice, promoting consistency and excellence across Elanco.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience:
Minimum 7 years in a delivery‑focused role such as Delivery Manager, Senior Scrum Master, or Agile Coach within a large, cross‑functional organization. - Strong understanding of Agile and Lean principles with proven ability to adapt frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) to context.
- Demonstrated experience guiding teams through change and driving large‑scale Agile or product model transformations.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills with a data‑driven approach to improvement.
- Background in software engineering or IT development programs.
- Experience working in regulated or global environments.
- Proven ability to coach leaders and teams at all levels to embrace Agile practices.
- Certifications such as CSM, PSM II, SAFe, SPS, or PRINCE2 Agile are valued but not required.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify systemic bottlenecks and drive organizational improvements.
