Lids is currently in growth mode with the goal to open a significant number of stores, both domestically and internationally, as well as with the goal to help grow Lids to be the largest brick-and-mortar licensed sports retailer globally.

General Position Summary

Desktop Support Lead is responsible for establishing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining software and hardware needs of end-users. You must also train the departments deskside support staff to perform their duties at a high level which includes but is not limited to break/fix, shipping, receiving, recycling, inventory management, hardware and software lifecycle management, endpoint security and MDM.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Train staff to perform duties at a high level
  • Work closely with department head to tackle projects and issues
  • Troubleshoot break/fix issues with hardware and software
  • Maintain accurate records with all applicable systems
  • Inventory Management
  • Shipping, Receiving, and Recycling
  • Endpoint Security
  • Imaging of Windows and MacOS based devices
  • Supporting POS devices
  • Maintaining a secure and up-to-date end-user environment
  • Provide metrics and status updates for projects to supervisor when requested
  • Software deployment and removal
Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities Job Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or 4 years of experience
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, imaging, and troubleshooting
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Critical Thinking
