Job Summary
Master Data Governance is essential to the successful execution of any business processes (e.g., launch, source change, rationalization) within the SAP system. Without clean, accurate, relevant, and consistent master data, it is difficult to operate business processes effectively and the information needed from SAP to make sound business decisions is flawed or unavailable.
The Global Data Analyst (Syniti DSP Consultant) supports master data within SAP and provides detailed knowledge and assistance to business users, affiliates, sites, and outsourced partners to ensure understanding of the data and changes needed to support everyday business. The Data Analyst implements and executes the master data governance strategy, implements projects, and provides day‑to‑day production support to the user community.
EssentialSkills / Knowledge / Experience
- 4+ years of experience in the Syniti DSP toolset (Development and Configuration)
- Experience in SAP MM modules with strong understanding of data fields and design.
- Experience working with P2P master data including business partners, Pinfo records, Source List, etc.
- 2+ full‑cycle SAP MM implementations along with SAP MM data implementation such as Material Management, PP, etc.
- Good understanding of SAP MM integration with other modules PP, QM, SD and FI.
- Knowledge of SAP P2P data design.
- Demonstrated ability to map, cleanse, and discover SAP master data through project work.
- Configurator for the Data Governance solution, DSP Syniti.
- Begins working within a specific DSP Syniti application and data element but can be used across any Data Governance application and/or data element as the need arises and expertise is gained.
- Performs impact assessment for issues and proposed changes involving application content.
- Creates and maintains end‑user application content using the DSP Syniti Front End application.
- Updates or creates data validation rules and content specific to DSP Syniti Conduct, Data Quality and Mass.
- Updates documentation when introducing Data Governance and Management changes.
- Implement Master Data Governance.
- Provide cross‑functional and geographic perspectives on data governance.
- Provide leadership and suggestions for proactive data auditing and lifecycle management.
- Implement data quality metrics and help interpret any trends on data quality within their functional area / geography.
- Monitor business conformity to governance rules and policies.
- Drive the completion of assigned data auditing tasks.
- Develop consistent procedures, processes, and tools across Master Data Management.
- Protect the integrity and accuracy of data to be loaded into the SAP system.
- Articulate the impact to master data of IT design, business processes, & end user transactions.
- Implement projects.
- Partner with IT and SME resources to represent MDM and identify and resolve data and design gaps.
- Lead local contacts through Data Mapping, Discovery, and Transformation.
- Leverage technical expertise to Load and Verify master data.
- Apply MDM governance rules and concepts to project work.
- Provide coaching and detailed knowledge transfer to key business partners.
- Deliver training to educate local data analysts, business process owners, and stakeholders on data quality and data governance.
- Develop and refine global data documentation as needed: SOPs, Transaction Aids, Job Aids, etc.
- Provide timely expert support to GBS’s, affiliates, sites, and outsourced business partners by performing manual entry and mass loads of requested data into the SAP Production environment.
- Cross‑train and share daily production support workload with other global data analysts.
- Collaborate with Business Subject Matter Experts and IT to resolve business problems.
Salary Range: $140,000 – $155,000 per year.
