Overview:
The position is for the Indiana Immunization division IT team. The team is overall responsible for customer support for the Indiana Immunization Registry systems. This position responsibilities include understanding requirements, conducting analysis, and testing/validating functional requirements. The role also articulates and defines testing scopes and objectives by understanding user and immunization team requirements.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and document requirements for immunization individual user agreements automation.
- Write detailed test scripts, test upcoming patches, identify issues, and provide testing results to help decide whether to roll out the patch.
- Track all tickets and follow‑up with vendor and IT team to ensure timely resolution.
- Work with the program team and help test various new modules added to CHIRP such as vaccine transfers, returns, VOMS, etc.
- Work with the IT and Immunization team to identify and address data quality issues (duplicate patients, bad merges, duplicate facilities, invalid vaccines).
- Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, devise new technical business system solutions, and translate into system requirement specifications.
- Work with the IT team to address electronic data transmission issues using PHC‑Hub and IQ to create reports for providers and EMR vendors.
- Follow‑up with IT and program teams on issues resolution, improving data reporting timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.
- Facilitate delivery of technical business solutions to program area or users.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- More than eight (8) years, full‑time professional work experience in an Information Technology environment.
- Experience as a Business and Quality Analyst in information technology with project tools and best practices.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
- Analyze and map business processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and present business cases for proposed solutions.
- Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and test plans.
- Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and capability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and health informatics to develop requirements.
- Plan, schedule, and manage QA projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, product managers, and customer support, to align quality goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields with IT experience.
