Data Analyst (Only W2)
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Hybrid (1 Year)
Compensation: $40.75/hr on W2 without benefits
Description- The Data Analyst validates and analyzes a variety of agency data sources to garner public health insight. The incumbent will produce reports and support data-related activities for the several divisions.
- This role will assist with curation and analysis of various other datasets and assist teams with integrating new data and information into existing and new reports.
- Experience analyzing data and reporting relevant results in a professional non-academic setting.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) independently in a professional setting.
- Experience using R or Python for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience using SQL to query a relational database.
- Experience using SAS for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience using Tableau for data visualization.
- Experience using Azure Portal.
- Experience using Microsoft Dev Ops.
- Serves as project lead/subject matter expert for specific data sources, as assigned.
- Reviews and provides feedback on the work products of other analysts.
- Responsible for transferring raw data to the appropriate location for use in data analysis projects.
- Wrangles, cleans, and validates agency data sources with minimal guidance.
- Conducts general analysis of agency datasets; serves as project lead, as assigned.
- Contributes to complex analysis of agency datasets, as requested.
- Conducts data quality checks to ensure the validity and cleanliness of agency datasets prior to their use in analysis and reporting.
- Oversees and reviews projects completed by associate analysts, as requested by senior analyst.
- Interprets data from multiple sources using a variety of analytical techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to data mining, to more complex statistical methodologies.
- Collaborates with internal and external partners to develop novel ways of using and reporting out data.
- Provides technical assistance to program areas for the creation of reports and grant deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience with data queries and transformations (including cleansing and standardizing) with SQL.
- Demonstrated experience with SAS and either R or Python, including data cleaning, running descriptive statistics and full analyses.
- Working knowledge of epidemiological methods, study design, and analysis needed with an understanding of both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Effective time management and program management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and fluid demands.
- Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers.
