Job Title: Data Center Technician
Location(s): Memphis, TN
Role OverviewEngineers will support, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain Dell server products located at the customer site. This is a hands‑on hardware role requiring experience working on servers, including wiring, part replacements, and physical tasks involving heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform triage of hardware issues based on guidance from Dell Support.
- Execute Plans of Action (POAs) provided by Dell Domain Engineers/L3 Support.
- Document results, logs, and service reports, including details such as part numbers and PPIDs for replaced components, and submit them to Dell via case email.
- Reseat, swap, or replace server components.
- Conduct server testing and Validation including diagnostics and log uploads.
- Perform firmware upgrades as required.
- Manage the parts locker (inbound and outbound materials).
- Manage spare parts during customer‑wide server deployments distinct from the parts locker.
- Facilitate parts/returns to Dell.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical certification or Associate Degree preferred.
- Typically 4–6 years of experience in related technical responsibilities.
- Must have hands‑on experience working with server hardware (wiring and hardware).
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting.
