Job DescriptionThe team is overall responsible for customer support for the Indiana Immunization Registry systems. This position will include understanding requirements, conducting analysis, and testing/validating functional requirements. It also involves articulating and defining testing scopes and objectives based on user and immunization team needs. The role serves as a liaison between program areas and technical support groups, documenting requirements or issues, creating test scenarios, performing testing, and reporting results.
EssentialDuties / Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and document requirements for immunization individual user agreements automation.
- Write detailed test scripts and test upcoming patches, identify issues, and provide testing results to decide on patch deployment.
- Track all tickets, follow up with vendors and IT teams, and ensure tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
- Work with the program team to test new modules added to CHIRP, such as vaccine transfers, returns, and VOMS.
- Identify and address data quality issues like duplicate patients, bad merges, duplicate facilities, and invalid vaccines.
- Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, devise new technical business solutions, and translate them into proper system requirement specifications.
- Work with the IT team to address electronic data transmission issues, using PHC‑Hub and IQ to create reports that notify providers and EMR vendors of data errors.
- Follow up with IT and program teams to resolve issues and improve overall data reporting timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.
- Facilitate the delivery of technical business solutions to program areas or users.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- More than eight (8) years full‑time professional experience in an Information Technology environment. (Required)
- Experience as a Business and Quality Analyst in information technology with project tools and best practices. (Required)
- Gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders. (Required)
- Analyze and map business processes to identify areas for improvement. (Required)
- Develop and present business cases for proposed solutions. (Required)
- Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and test plans. (Required)
- Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards. (Required)
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution. (Required)
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and work effectively in a team environment. (Required)
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and health informatics to develop requirements. (Required)
- Plan, schedule, and manage QA projects to ensure timely delivery. (Required)
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, product managers, and customer support, to align quality goals. (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with IT experience. (Required)
