Sr Business/Quality Analyst – located in Indianapolis, IN, US.
Job OverviewThe team is overall responsible for customer support for the Indiana Immunization Registry systems. This position will include understanding requirements, conducting analysis, and testing/validating functional requirements. The analyst will articulate and define testing scopes and objectives by understanding the user and immunization team requirements.
The analyst will serve as a liaison between program areas and technical support groups to understand and document requirements or issues, create test scenarios, perform testing, and report test results.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and document requirements for immunization individual user agreement automation.
- Write detailed test scripts and test upcoming patches, identify issues, and provide testing results to decide on patch deployment.
- Track all tickets and follow up with vendors and IT teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Work with the program team and help with testing various new modules added to CHIRP like vaccine transfers, returns, and VOMS.
- Help the IT and Immunization team identify and address data quality issues such as duplicate patients, bad merges, duplicate facilities, invalid vaccines.
- Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, devise new technical business system solutions, and translate them into proper system requirement specifications.
- Assist with electronic data transmission issues. Use PHC-Hub and IQ to create reports notifying providers and EMR vendors for data errors.
- Follow up with IT and program teams to address issues and improve overall data reporting timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.
- Facilitate delivery of technical business solutions to the program area or users.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- More than eight (8) years full‑time professional experience in an Information Technology environment (required 8 years).
- Experience as a Business and Quality analyst in IT with project tools and best practices (required 4 years).
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders (required).
- Analyze and map business processes to identify improvement areas (required).
- Develop and present business cases for proposed solutions (required).Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and test plans (required).
- Conduct testing of software applications to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards (required).
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring timely resolution (required).
- Effective oral and written communication; ability to work in a team (required).
- Knowledge of healthcare industry and health informatics (required).
- Plan, schedule, and manage QA projects to ensure timely delivery (required).
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including developers, product managers, and customer support (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with IT experience (required).
