Full Time - Exempt, reporting to Director TCU Computer Science Programs. Hybrid in Denver Area preferred;
Remote accepted in AZ, CO, FL, LA, MN, MT, ND, NM, NV, OK, SD, TX.
Salary: $83,400 - $107,700 annually.

PositionDescription
This position supports and develops the College Fund TCU Computer Science Initiative. The priority of the initiative is to facilitate institutional capacity building of TCUs in Computer Science education opportunities, thereby increasing place-based Computer Science programs grounded in the mission and vision of their institutions. The role encompasses fostering innovative, community‑centered approaches to integrating and enhancing curricula across a broad range of computer science topics with a focus on solving challenges faced by tribal nation communities.
The Computer Science Specialist provides technical assistance and expertise in computer science content, faculty development, course development and pedagogy, and creation of services that support student and community engagement. The Specialist will support the TCU Computer Science Program Director in implementing all aspects of computer science programming and outreach at participating TCUs, working directly with TCU administration, staff, faculty, students, donors, contractors, community members, and fellow College Fund employees.
Collaboration and proactive communication with other College Fund departments are essential.
- Develop educational content and provide technical assistance on the integration of Computer Science content and topics, and systems‑level applications of computer science to support TCUs in revising, modifying, and developing academic programming.
- Create lessons, modules, courses, and activities addressing challenges facing tribal nation communities for use or adaptation by TCUs.
- Design creative approaches to engage TCUs in increasing computer science programming across degree pathways and courses.
- Increase TCUs’ knowledge capacity in computer science through outreach and dissemination.
- Develop strategies for continued learning and visibility through a Community of Practice for shared learning and teaching.
- Identify national and other native conferences and organizations targeting computer science and related fields.
- Support and strengthen TCU relationships through online communication, conference calls, and site visits.
- Leverage professional networks and partnerships to foster collaboration and sustainable partnerships for TCU projects.
- Support College Fund strategic goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other teams to accomplish organizational goals.
- Participate in department‑level and organizational strategic and annual planning.
- Engage in Programs discussions related to program impact and provide summarized/analyzed project information.
- Support sharing of successful programming among the College Fund and TCUs.
- Create and gather monthly and quarterly summaries of the TCU Computer Science Initiative for reporting to Board and senior leadership.
- Present College Fund programming and outcomes at conferences and other venues.
- Share student stories and program successes to support awareness and fundraising efforts.
- Support related programming managed by the programs department when needed.
- Extensive travel (plane and car) is expected for site visits and selected conferences.
- Administer other duties as assigned.
- Experience facilitating development of computer science programming across tribal communities.
