Job Descriptionblue Stone Executive Search is currently helping our client, a top business services company in the Indianapolis area, find a permanent Scrum Master to join their team immediately. The Scrum Master will lead and guide project teams using the Agile methodology, act as a principle project leader and guide and advise the teams of best practices.
The Scrum Master will be chiefly responsible for:
- Leading project teams as a Scrum Master by providing a deeper understanding of Agile methodology and Scrum.
- Leading daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum related meetings.
- Coaching and mentoring team members on Agile practices, roles, and supporting tools.
The qualified Scrum Master will have the following knowledge and skill requirements:
- Demonstrates Agile values, principles, and concepts while exhibiting an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Can effectively teach all aspects of Scrum to others.
- Must have real life experience in practical management of Agile/Scrum teams.
- Certified Scrum Master/Scrum Practitioner with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience using Agile/Scrum.
- Must be able to communicate with teams and connect with people individually.
- Effectively manages conflict and supports collaboration among team and Product Owner.
- Must be able to facilitate discussion and different approaches in a collaborative fashion.
- Must be able to help a team meet short and long-term goals using Agile methods.
- Experience in building a new Agile/Scrum team and assisting them in becoming self organizing.
- Experience in helping management understand Agile/Scrum.
- Must have a servant leadership mindset, by putting the team first and leading from behind.
- Experience with various retrospective formats, keeping things fresh through creative and innovative techniques.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), PMI-ACP, or Kanban certification preferred.
Salary range is $90,000-$100,000+ bonus and competitive benefits package.
