Vice President of Cloud Computing

Role Description

This full-time, remote Vice President of Cloud Computing role at Confiança Seguros S.A. is responsible for leading the organization’s cloud vision, strategy, and execution across all business units. The role oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud architectures to ensure security, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing cross-functional cloud initiatives, partnering with business and technology leaders to align cloud solutions with organizational goals, and establishing governance frameworks for cloud adoption and operations.

The Vice President will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor service performance, while also guiding teams in incident response, risk management, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role includes mentoring technical leaders, setting performance objectives, and driving continuous improvement in cloud engineering, operations, and innovation.

• Strong foundation in Information Technology, with experience overseeing enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Proven IT Management experience, including leadership of diverse technical teams and oversight of outsourced or vendor-delivered services.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute IT Strategy that aligns cloud initiatives with business objectives and risk management requirements.
• Project Management skills to lead complex, multi-phase cloud migration and modernization programs on time and within budget.
• Strategic Planning capabilities to design long-term cloud roadmaps, investment plans, and governance structures.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cloud security practices, and regulatory compliance in financial services or insurance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
• Track record of leading remote and distributed teams, fostering collaboration, inclusion, and high performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure certifications, PMP, ITIL) are beneficial.
