Job Summary
We are looking for an Empower CDS Implementation Specialist to set up, configure, and test lab IT equipment and Waters Empower Chromatography Data Systems (CDS). You will work with local and global teams to install computer hardware, connect lab instruments, run tests, manage change requests, and support lab staff after launch.

You will work with local and global teams to install computer hardware, connect lab instruments, run tests, manage change requests, and support lab staff after launch.
Key Responsibilities System Setup & Instrument Connection- Build new LAC/E computers using approved software images.
- Install, configure, and test Waters Empower CDS software on LAC/E systems.
- Set up chromatographic systems in the Empower software.
- Check lab instruments to decide the best way to connect them to LAC/E hardware.
- Connect lab equipment (LC, GC, detectors) through LAC/E for data collection and control.
- Unbox computers and install hardware like Network Interface Controller (NIC) cards.
- Tag hardware assets and assign official LAC/E IDs to track equipment.
- Run formal validation tests to make sure system setups and instrument connections meet quality standards.
- Perform post-setup sample testing to ensure everything works correctly.
- Handle Change Requests (CRs) from start to finish.
- Keep clear records, update teams on progress, and meet project deadlines.
- Provide technical support right after launch to keep lab operations running smoothly.
- Software:
Strong experience administering and setting up Waters Empower CDS and LAC/E systems. - Lab Instruments:
Hands-on experience with Liquid Chromatography (LC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and detectors. - Compliance:
Experience working in regulated lab environments (GxP, FDA) using strict testing and validation rules. - IT & Hardware:
Basic IT hardware skills (installing NIC cards, network setup, asset tagging). - Process:
Experience creating and managing IT Change Requests (CRs) and project documentation.
