The GIS Administrator creates, modifies, and maintains Geographic Information System data layers, creates maps, administers GIS applications, and serves as a technical expert for GIS development and database administration for the Indiana National Guard. Positioned within the Plans and Programs Office of the Construction Facilities Maintenance Office, the role involves system design, application development, technical support, and mentoring of staff.
Key qualifications- Working knowledge of new systems design techniques and information technology equipment
- Advanced knowledge of information systems design principles and application development software languages
- 2-4 years of experience applying outlined knowledge and skills in a similar role
- Ability to perform problem solving and analytical analysis
- Effective oral and written communication skills
