Insurance Specialist - Roofing Industry
Join Bone Dry Roofing as an Insurance Specialist to assist clients in filing insurance claims for roof damage.
Location & Employment
- Full‑time, on‑site position at the Indianapolis office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with sales representatives to assess roof damage and determine claim needs.
- Generate detailed cost estimates using measurements and photos to agree on scope with insurance carriers.
- Advise sales team on each claim.
- Educate clients on the insurance claim process and keep them informed.
- Communicate with insurers to ensure accurate damage assessments and appropriate payment.
- Follow up with insurance companies to secure timely payment and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of all claims and documentation of communications with clients, insurers, and production teams.
- Invoice carriers and track payments while updating company stakeholders.
- Stay current with changes in insurance regulations that affect the claims process.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients, insurers, and stakeholders.
- Learn and navigate multiple technology platforms to perform daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in the construction/roofing industry is a plus.
- Prior experience in claims processing or adjusting for construction, roofing, or property and casualty is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or related field preferred. - Knowledge of insurance regulations related to roofing damage claims, or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
- Valid driver’s license.
