Freelance Interpreter – Indianapolis, IN (Independent Contractor, 1099)

LTC is an interpreting agency seeking contract interpreters in and around Indianapolis, IN
. The role fills appointments on an as‑needed basis. The ideal interpreter has at least 3 years of experience across medical, social work, education, workplace settings and others.

• Act as a liaison using the client’s preferred language.
• Accurately interpret appropriate to the setting and audience.
• Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.

• Interpreting certifications (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience (preferred).
• Minimum of 1–2 years interpreting experience overall (required).
• Ability to keep accurate records.

As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will not be an employee of LTC; you will function as an independent contractor, providing language interpretation services on an IRS Form 1099 basis.
