- Serves as a member of the Consumer Litigation Case Teams, providing investigation and litigation support within those Teams.
- Assists Case Teams by managing case schedules and ensuring compliance with Section policies and procedures; supports team management of electronic databases such as Everlaw and Advologix (Salesforce).
- Performs fact‑gathering during investigation and litigation phases; contacts witnesses, obtains documents and testimony, prepares correspondence, and schedules witness interviews.
- Identifies and collects material supporting court filings; prepares documents necessary for investigation and litigation, including civil investigative subpoenas and court filings.
- Performs legal research as required.
- Responds to requests from witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Provides supplemental support to other Section Case Teams during paralegal absences.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned by supervising attorneys.
- Paralegal degree or equivalent work experience.
- Background in either consumer finance or healthcare compliance preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Case Team members and other Office staff.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel); familiarity with Advologix, Everlaw, Salesforce, e‑discovery software, and case‑management tools preferred.
- Good client‑relations skills, including ability to work with consumers to obtain information promptly.
- Familiarity with the civil discovery process and its various forms.
- Familiarity with summary judgment and trial procedures, including evidence admissibility.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage a large volume of cases and track deadlines.
- Awareness of ethical concerns, including confidentiality requirements.
