Role Overview

The Transportation Support Analyst serves as a vital resource for the logistics department, handling essential operational and administrative tasks. By managing shipping documentation, overseeing carrier and supplier claims, and facilitating clear communication between stakeholders, this individual ensures that daily transportation workflows remain efficient and precise.

We are seeking a candidate who excels in fast-paced settings, possesses a sharp eye for detail, and demonstrates strong analytical capabilities when collaborating with various internal and external partners.

Primary Duties
  • Generate and oversee shipping documentation for diverse logistics needs, such as inbound supplier freight, quality returns, and Premium Freight Requests (PFRs) to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
  • Manage the department inbox to provide timely responses to transportation-related questions and requests.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of supplier and carrier claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted to help recover costs and maintain financial accuracy.
  • Facilitate effective communication between carriers, suppliers, and internal staff to resolve logistical challenges and support daily operations.
  • Organize and prepare essential business communications, including reports, presentations, and email correspondence.
  • Collect, validate, and input data into various electronic systems to ensure information integrity for the entire team.
  • Utilize the Microsoft Office suite to track, analyze, and report on key transportation metrics.
  • Verify all outgoing documentation to ensure it meets high standards for grammar, spelling, and consistency.
  • Help uphold organizational standards by ensuring all communications and records remain compliant with corporate policies.
  • Investigate operational inquiries to provide solutions or elevate issues to the appropriate team members for resolution.
  • Contribute to team success by participating in process improvement projects and internal audits to enhance operational quality.
  • Foster strong professional relationships across departments to improve collaborative problem-solving and execution.
  • Handle sensitive company information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required to ensure the transportation department meets its broader business goals.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related analytical field.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking to solve complex problems.
  • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office tools, with a focus on Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Proven ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Capacity to handle competing priorities in a high-speed work environment.
  • A service-oriented mindset focused on delivering practical solutions to customers.
