Position Summary

We’re looking for a sharp, strategic, and operationally‑savvy Chief Financial Officer / Chief Administrative Officer (CFO/CAO) to serve as a cornerstone of our executive team. This dual‑role leader will drive our financial & growth strategy (70%) while also overseeing the safeguarding of our assets and scaling of our infrastructure (30%). The ideal candidate is first and foremost a finance heavyweight with a proven track record of scaling a privately held services business.

This is not a legacy “maintenance” CFO role—it’s a growth‑minded, hands‑on executive position for a builder. You’ll lead all administrative functions—Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Sales Operations, Legal, and IT Support. HR remains under the purview of our Chief People Officer, but this role will collaborate closely on organizational planning and workforce scalability.

Responsibilities Executive Leadership
  • Collaborate with the President and Executive Team to guide company strategy.
  • Foster a high-performance, team-first culture across all administrative functions.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports with a focus on succession and sustainability.
Strategic Finance & Accounting
  • Set the financial vision and roadmap in alignment with our growth goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including FP&A, cash flow management, reporting, tax strategy, compliance, and 401(k) plan.
  • Partner with the President and BU leaders on business modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
  • Lead banking, insurance, audit, legal, and investor relationships.
Business Operations & Administration
  • Manage cross‑functional administrative operations (Accounting, Finance, Legal, IT Support, Risk Management, and Sales Ops) to enable scalable growth.
  • Implement modern systems, policies, and processes to streamline operations and support agility and scalability.
  • Drive operational discipline, KPIs, and accountability across administrative teams.
Governance & Risk
  • Own risk management, compliance, contracts, insurance, data security, and internal controls.
  • Oversee the annual SOC 2 Type II audit process.
Technology & Systems Oversight
  • Oversee IT support and infrastructure strategy to ensure business continuity and scalability.
  • Evaluate and implement systems that support finance and administrative efficiency.
  • Oversee any client‑requested security assessment process.
Education and Experience
  • 10+ years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years at the CFO or VP Finance level in a privately held, growth‑oriented services company.
  • Experience leading administrative or operational functions in addition to finance is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience scaling a business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
  • Track record of successful system implementations (e.g., ERP, BI tools, automation platforms).
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Expertise in scaling professional services businesses.
  • Deep financial acumen, strategic mindset, and operational rigor.
  • Strong grasp of revenue recognition, services margin management, and cost optimization in a services model.
  • Skilled in cross‑functional leadership—able to…
