OVERVIEW:

The Vice President of Financial Operations provides leadership and oversight for CICP's financial operations and leads an experienced accounting team supporting CICP and its branded and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the President & CFO, the VP of Financial Operations is responsible for maintaining strong financial stewardship, controls and compliance while continuing to develop a proactive, efficient and solutions-oriented finance function.

The VP of Financial Operations must enjoy managing a capable team and have experience working in a fast-paced and complex environment and working with financial systems. This position establishes and implements policies and practices to ensure operational effectiveness and fiscal responsibility, while upholding the regulatory and compliance standards at state and federal levels. To be successful in the role the ideal candidate will demonstrate the technical skills required for the role while being a great people manager and leader.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial and technical expertise with excellent people leadership, sound judgment, adaptability and relationship-building skills. The VP must recognize when precision and rigor are essential while also knowing when efficiency, responsiveness or a different approach will produce a better organizational outcome.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Operations Leadership and Oversight
  • Develop an understanding of initiative strategies, operations, funding models and financial needs to anticipate issues and opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with CICP and initiative leaders to establish clear expectations, processes and timelines for team support.
  • Provide financial analysis, guidance and recommendations that enable organizational leaders to make informed business decisions.
  • Help the accounting team balance strong financial stewardship and compliance requirements with responsiveness, flexibility and practical business solutions.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the CEO, President and CFO, the branded initiatives, the board and other senior executives in performing their duties.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's accounting function and performance at the direction of the President and CFO.
