The BMV Program Director establishes program objectives, policies, and initiatives for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles' branch operations. Based in Indianapolis at the Indiana Government Center, this exempt leadership role involves developing and implementing operational improvements, managing multiple projects, analyzing departmental performance, and coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance services across BMV branches.
Key qualifications:- Master's Degree with 1+ years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or Associate's Degree with 5+ years of experience, or 7+ years of similar experience
- Specialized knowledge of BMV program area, rules, regulations, and pertinent federal and state laws
- Ability to develop and implement policies and communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Experience managing multiple projects, delegating work, and providing employee feedback and development
- Working knowledge of accounting and budget principles
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and handle supervisory responsibilities as needed
