Production Control Supervisor – 2nd Shift

We currently have a Production Control Supervisor position available on 2nd shift. This individual will supervise and coordinate activities that are engaged in ensuring the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments. Maintains quality, productivity, safety requirements and open communications with members.

Other duties may be assigned.

• Insures a safe working environment.
• Schedules manpower and vacation requirements.
• Interprets and assures adherence to company policies to members fairly and accurately.
• Develop and oversee subordinate training activities.
• Promotes and maintains a positive working environment.
• Analyzes, resolves work problems, or assists members in solving work problems.
• Monitors production schedules and communicates with other department supervisors.
• Coordinates company logistic activities - inventory control, shipping/receiving schedules, material flow, improvement activities, floor layout changes, etc.
• Confers with manufacturing personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
• Coordinates with other departments for continuous improvement activities.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Ensures effective member utilization based on production volume (manpower control).
• Conducts member performance evaluations.
• Maintains TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Evaluates work instructions to ensure work standards are correct.

• Ability to communicate with customers, suppliers, and other departments.
• Capable of presenting ideas, both verbal and written in presentation formats.
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical computations.
• Ability to gather facts, make decisions, determine plan, and follow through.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving and material handling procedures.
• Personal computer experience with knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Ability to perform occasional lifting and ergonomic movements (i.e. twisting, turning, reaching, bending).

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, manufacturing experience a plus.
• An Associate Degree is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Production Control activity related experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to gain equipment certification/license as required.
