As a Packing Associate, your primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of orders for shipment to customers. You will work closely with other team members to meet productivity goals while maintaining high-quality standards and providing exceptional service.
Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities- Process customer orders through the fulfillment system accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare items for shipment by selecting appropriate packaging materials, carefully packing products, and affixing correct shipping labels.
- Perform quality checks on outgoing orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking numbers, carrier information, and any special handling instructions.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to shipping regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable.
- Ensure the proper functioning of shipping equipment, such as scales, label printers, and tape dispensers, and report any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members across various departments, such as order fulfillment, customer service, and warehouse, to resolve any order-related issues or customer inquiries.
- Assist with any other tasks on an as-needed basis.

- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using inventory management scanners.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and shipping partners.
- Attention to detail and accuracy while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Some physical strength may be required to lift packages by hand, up to 50 lbs.
