Production Worker Aluminum​/Metal Finishing Indianapolis

Superior Metal Technologies is a stable full‑service aluminum metal finishing company, specializing in high‑performance architectural coatings. We are located in the East side of Indianapolis.

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Anodized Production Worker to join our manufacturing team. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks in the production line to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

• Fill out production sheets and packing tickets
• Read and understand work orders
• Color and coating checks
• Operate hand tools (drill, hammer, aimailer, saws, etc.)
• Count product
• Create or make bundles, crates, or skids
• Identify defects
• Identify proper packing method of product (i.e., S‑interleave, layer, cardboard, foam, or any other type)
• Prepare materials and equipment needed for production
• Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and specifications
• Package and label finished products according to company and customer requirements
• Load and unload materials in and out of the production area using forklifts or other industrial equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal functionality
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on production procedures and safety guidelines
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the production area and report any potential hazards or accidents

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven work experience as a Production Worker or in a similar role
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to operate and inspect machinery and metal pieces
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10 to 50lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100lbs to position metal objects to begin and finish treatment processes and/or prepare for shipping
• Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to position self to move metal objects for treatment or packing
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining production machinery
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and follow instructions
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus. Must be able to detect slight differences in various finishes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Candidates must be 18 years or older, and willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test at any given time.
