CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift

V2X Inc is looking for a CNC Machinist I – 3rd Shift to join our production team. The role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce parts in accordance with specifications.

This entry‑level or early‑career role provides hands‑on experience in machining practices, materials, and tooling, contributing to the efficient production of parts.

• Sets up, programs, and operates CNC machines (3, 4, or 5‑axis) with minimal guidance.
• Sets up and operates various manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses) with minimal guidance.
• Performs basic assembly and repair of parts and mechanisms.
• Applies knowledge of machining practices, mechanics, shop mathematics, and metal properties.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches, specifications, and NC programs.
• Follows detailed written and oral instructions.
• Verifies conformance of work pieces to specifications using measuring instruments.
• Produces parts within established quality and cost parameters.

• Basic knowledge of machining practices and metal properties.
• Familiarity with manual machine tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming (G‑code, conversational).
• Ability to use measuring instruments.

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred but not required. Relevant certifications or training a plus.
• 0–2 years of machining experience. Experience with CNC machines is a plus.

• Ability to lift and/or handle materials.
• Ability to stand for periods of time.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance may be required.
