Aerodyn Engineering is hiring an experienced CMM Programmer/Operator to join our advanced manufacturing team in Indianapolis, IN. In this hands-on role, you’ll program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso, inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace and automotive components. Key Responsibilities
  • Program and operate Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using Calypso software
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components with tolerances down to 0.0001"
  • Verify machine and probe calibration for measurement accuracy
  • Identify defects, generate non-conformance reports, and document results per AS9100/ISO
    9001
  • Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to uphold the highest inspection standards
  • Create and maintain inspection documentation and clear reporting using Microsoft Office tools
  • Recommend process improvements based on inspection trends
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a CMM programmer/operator, preferably in aerospace or automotive
  • Expertise with Zeiss CMM equipment and Calypso programming
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and tight-tolerance measurement techniques
  • Skilled in use of micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Familiar with AS9100, ISO
    9001, or similar quality management systems
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating in a fast-paced, R&D-focused shop environment
