️ Precision Starts Here – Join a World-Class Quality TeamAerodyn Engineering is hiring an experienced CMM Programmer/Operator to join our advanced manufacturing team in Indianapolis, IN. In this hands-on role, you’ll program and operate Zeiss CMMs using Calypso, inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace and automotive components. Key Responsibilities- Program and operate Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using Calypso software
- Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components with tolerances down to 0.0001"
- Verify machine and probe calibration for measurement accuracy
- Identify defects, generate non-conformance reports, and document results per AS9100/ISO
9001 - Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to uphold the highest inspection standards
- Create and maintain inspection documentation and clear reporting using Microsoft Office tools
- Recommend process improvements based on inspection trends
- 3+ years of experience as a CMM programmer/operator, preferably in aerospace or automotive
- Expertise with Zeiss CMM equipment and Calypso programming
- Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and tight-tolerance measurement techniques
- Skilled in use of micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools
- Familiar with AS9100, ISO
9001, or similar quality management systems - Comfortable working independently and collaborating in a fast-paced, R&D-focused shop environment
- Competitive Pay: $85K–$90K DOE (salary or hourly, based on preference)
