Position Description
The Parts Coordinator is responsible for all coordination duties related directly to preventative maintenance, parts, documentation and the overall maintenance department. Ensures continued availability and requisition of all required parts for the Maintenance department while assisting in the continuous improvement of the preventative maintenance program.
Essential Functions- Adhere to health and safety policies/procedures, GMPs and wear required PPE in warehouse or production areas.
- Adhere to food quality and food safety standards and/or Safe Quality Food requirements.
- Process incoming requisitions for parts in coordination with the Maintenance Manager and Mechanics (in SAP).
- Develop knowledge and skills in optimal parts coordination; become a subject matter expert on CMMS utilization and maintenance parts knowledge.
- Collaborate with plant groups, suppliers, OEM representatives, contractors, safety systems vendors, auditors, and SQF, GMP and Supply Chain groups.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to safety, quality and cost.
- Maintain 100% accountability for the parts room; receive, sort and catalogue all parts; maintain min/max inventory levels.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner; maintain records of parts, supplies and materials.
- Submit orders to the PO writer for all parts with verified quality, quantity and accurate documentation (part numbers).
- Work with Maintenance on projects requiring parts; communicate status and lead times to requisitioners; collaborate with Maintenance Planner on scheduling.
- Prepare parts (kitting) for planned project work; monitor daily/weekly/ yearly PM programs; maintain PM records.
- Maintain filing system for Maintenance documents and records; duties may change with notice.
- Experience in Food/Beverage Manufacturing preferred.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP and PowerPoint.
- Budget awareness; ability to work within a budget.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task; detail-oriented; able to work independently and show initiative.
- Mechanical aptitude; familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures.
- Critical thinking; effective communication across teams.
- Ownership and teamwork; strong record keeping.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Business Administration or related degree preferred. - 3+ years maintenance parts room experience preferred.
- Weekdays; weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight and holidays may be required. Overtime as needed.
- Fast-paced production plant environment; noise requiring hearing protection; hot/cold temperatures; structured targets and schedules.
- Travel anticipated:

- R = Rarely (0-15%), O = Occasionally (16-45%), F = Frequently (46-100%)
- Stand/Sit, Stoop/Kneel/Crouch/Crawl, Carry/Lift, Walking, Driving, Climb/Balance with specified frequencies as indicated
