Duties and Responsibilities- Operate a CNC Machine
- Change tooling within machine
- Perform quality checks using approved tools to determine accuracy to blueprint
- Inform supervisor or lead of any equipment-related problems that may affect quality
- Clock in on jobs and parts accurately
- Follow instructions from all Center and equipment documentation, including shop traveler, manuals, and blueprints
- Maintain all required documentation
- Exhibit consistent safe working habits
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- A willingness to learn and be trained on machine operator related tasks
- General skills with hand and air tools
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read different measuring tools
- Ability to routinely bend and squat
- Occasionally climb stairs, ladders, or platforms
- Walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Repetitively grasp
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Working ConditionsThis is a safety-sensitive position performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment. The position requires the use of PPE and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
