Company OverviewSpectron Rx is a rapidly growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) based in Indianapolis, IN, with additional locations in South Bend and Bunker Hill, IN, Danbury, CT and Europe. We are seeking an experienced Chemist, Radiochemical Manufacturing to join our growing company at the Bunker Hill, IN facility.
Responsibilities- Manufacturing of time‑sensitive radiopharmaceuticals in an integrity‑driven, highly regulated environment (i.e., FDA, NRC, DOT).
- Process manufacturing with radioisotope materials, preparation of production materials, maintaining supplies and production materials, general maintenance of production equipment and analytical equipment.
- Providing timely information to Supervisor regarding status, foreseeable problems or failure.
- Willingness to work shifts to support 24/7 work week schedules such as 2nd and 3rd shifts and uncommon work schedules (e.g., Sunday–Thursday or Wednesday–Sunday).
- Flexibility to perform other related duties as assigned to support overall operations and company objectives.
- Reading, understanding, and complying with corporate, state and federal regulations and policies.
- Executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements including Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Working in partnership with cross‑functional teams to ensure product/production standards are met.
- Training and safety with radioactive materials under the direction of Authorized Users (AU) and the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
- Monitoring and recording radiation exposure below regulated limits and maintaining ALARA principles.
- Noise levels within the facilities are considered low to moderate; job duties often require long periods of standing.
- Manual dexterity required for equipment operation and occasional reach and lifting of small objects.

- Time management and organizational skills.
- Active learning and adjustment to others’ actions.
- Oral comprehension, oral expression, written comprehension, written expression, deductive reasoning.
Travel – up to 30% (may require overnight stay for 1 or more nights).
Additional Requirements- Valid Indiana driver’s license.
- Pass a Background Check.
