Job Title:

Sanitation Lead Job Description

Join our team as a Sanitation Lead and take charge in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will assist the Sanitation Manager in overseeing all environmental programs, air quality programs, SSOPs, SOPs, instructions, records, and sanitation operations. As a key player, you will supervise sanitation and janitorial workers, ensuring compliance with safety, FDA, and SQF regulations, while also serving as a backup for the Sanitation Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual pre-operational inspections of production lines and perform ATP swabs as needed.
  • Execute environmental monitoring sampling and new equipment sampling for laboratory testing.
  • Prepare and conduct air quality, compressed air, and nitrogen quality tests.
  • Maintain records for the Master Sanitation Schedule, janitorial, and sanitation quality checks.
  • Manage the Food Ready Quality Systems monitoring and updates.
  • Collaborate with the Sanitation Manager on standards, GMPs, SOPs, SSSOPs, and sanitation instructions.
  • Supervise chemical delime for dish machines and dilution systems, prepare sanitizers as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and other tools, operating an auto floor scrubber as required.
  • Conduct titration and chemical concentration checks.
  • Maintain inventory control of chemicals and supplies.
  • Supervise janitorial and sanitation tasks on the production floor.
  • Lift equipment or machinery for cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Ensure compliance with SSOPs, SOPs, work instructions, government regulations, and SQF requirements.
  • Serve as backup to quality assurance, sanitation workers, and the Sanitation Manager.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in cleaning, janitorial, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to write procedures and instructions in Spanish or English.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Leadership skills to lead a team of sanitation workers.
  • Preferred sanitation experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and paper checks.
  • Ability to complete food-ready sanitation tasks on a tablet device.
