Job Summary:
The Cosmetic Chemical Compo under is responsible for creating product batches by following established formulas and recipes, while adhering to cGMP and Safety requirements to ensure manufacturing of products are consistent with established procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Covers and puts away chemicals used for the day.
- Transports materials necessary from storage area to production and properly record them in Data Ninja.
- Accountable for cleaning the compounding work area, maintaining equipment cleaning and operating in a clean environment.
- Ensuring that the products manufactured are of the highest standards and meets all the criteria prior to release to inventory so that they are in accordance with company specification and procedures.
- Ensure compliance of GMP’s and company policy and procedures for cosmetic manufacturing.
- Assure batch records are maintained according to company requirements and SOP’s.
- Engage in process development and resolve production problems and errors.
- Maintain an adequate supply of chemical raw materials in work area and notify supervisor or warehouse of any shortages.
- Be able to have a good working knowledge of math, weights and measurements so that recipes are correctly followed.
- Communicate with supervisor on production issues.
- Must be able to work with urgency and effectively drive production to ensure targets are achieved.
- Attend monthly production/quality/R&D and maintenance huddles.
- Participate in annual cycle counts.
- Participate in goal setting and performance evaluation with supervisor.

Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
- At least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Experience with the ERP system Net Suite and the manufacturing execution system Data Ninja is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to bend, stoop, walk, stand, push and pull various items.
- Ability to climbs steps and work on a platform.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
- Ability to move around the warehouse.
- Work is primarily performed inside the warehouse.
- Exposure to loud noise levels, vibration, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles.
- May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions.
