Volunteer Services Coordinator

Overview

Work Schedule:

This role is scheduled for 16 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with work taking place during standard office hours (8:00 am–4:30 pm). The position also requires occasional evening availability to support 2–3 special events per year.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate volunteer records and providing administrative support to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all volunteer program operations.

• Assist in coordinating the Volunteer Services program
• Manage, update and maintain personnel records for all volunteers
• Assist in training of volunteers on new policies and procedures
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance to any assigned volunteers
• Maintain feedback processes to improve workflows and enhance volunteer and employee understanding
• Perform database management and ensure data accuracy
• Oversee compliance‑related documentation and processes
• Support volunteer engagement initiatives
• Draft and distribute written communications to volunteers and staff
• Perform general office management duties

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• 1-3 years of experience managing or training volunteers or volunteer experience (preferred)
• Experience in office administration
• Ability to work independently while following established direction
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelors degree (preferred)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience working with volunteers preferred.
