Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU night position requiring cardiac device management skills and an active IN or compact RN license.

• Position is based in the Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU of a hospital
• This is a cardiac medical and surgical ICU unit
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Responsible for a 2 patient ICU assignment
• Management of cardiac devices such as Impella and IABP is required
• NxStage training is preferred
• Position is for a 13-week contract
• Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to cardiothoracic transplant and cardiac surgery patients
• Team-based ICU environment with advanced cardiac device support
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on shift rotation
• Local candidates will be considered at a reduced rate per facility’s radius rule
• Covid vaccination is not currently required
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant ICU nursing experience
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred
• Recent experience with Impella and IABP devices required
• Nursys verification and license primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide US Social Security Number and US home address
