Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Behavioral Neurology (Methodist Hospital)
Join Indiana University Health as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to participate in the care of dementia patients within a multi-disciplinary clinical team of four physicians and two advanced practice providers. The APP will develop a Behavioral Neurology expertise and be a highly motivated individual interested in research and education. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication and critical‑thinking skills.

- Full‑time, dayshift — Monday through Friday; 8 am to 5 pm
- No night or weekend call
- 100 % outpatient; practice at Goodman Hall and Methodist Hospital
- Provide outpatient care to patients with dementia and other neurological disorders
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and allied health staff to develop treatment plans
- Conduct patient assessments, medication management, and follow‑up visits
- Educate patients and families about disease progression, coping strategies, and community resources
- Participate in quality improvement projects, research initiatives, and educational activities
- Master's degree required
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PA certification required
- Neurology experience required; experience caring for dementia patients preferred
- Strong team‑work, communication, and critical‑thinking skills

IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with 1,000 beds and over 130 ICU beds. It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis and a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care. IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals.
Construction for the new hospital is well underway and set to open in late 2027. It will feature three 16‑story towers with 864 beds. IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
